OPTIMUM K12
POTASSIUM SILICATE
ENLARGES SAFELY AND HEALTHFULLY
The active ingredients of OPTIMUM K 12 accumulate within the plant cell wall, creating a mechanical protection effect against insects and pathogens. Thus, pests and pathogens have difficulty in passing through the fortified cuticular layer.
Thanks to its special potassium ingredient, OPTIMUM K 12 facilitates enzyme activity and photosynthesis and the carriage of plant nutrients and photosynthesis products, and increases the protein contents and dry matters, regulates turgescence, prevents dehydration and withering in plants.
OPTIMUM K 12 minimizes water stress in plants, regulates the intracellular turgor pressure, and by bringing balance to cellular energy metabolism, ensures resistance against cracking in plants, defloration, high resistance against hot and cold weather.
Rolling and curling of leaves in plants is a result of silica accumulation in epidermal layers. This phenomenon is important in, notably, dicotyledons such as cucumber, whereby leaves get more chlorophyll by maintaining their horizontal positions and carry on their activities for a longer period of time.
When diluted in water at the proportions indicated below, OPTIMUM K 12 forms a FILM LAYER (membrane) (ensuring plant respiration) with a truly porous structure on the green parts of plants.
Thanks to the FILM LAYER, it was observed that the DEHISCENCE rate dramatically decreased in CRACK-prone cultivars, such as pomegranate, cherry, tomato. In case of unstable weather conditions during the day, it provides support for plant protection.
Upon application, OPTIMUM K 12 invisibly covers and dresses up a plant just like people themselves would do. As a result of this porous covering, it regulates perspiration during periods when dehydration is at its maximum due to excessive sweating under especially very hot climatic conditions, thereby markedly reducing water loss in plants. Thus, it prolongs the irrigation intervals in plants.
OPTIMUM K 12 is a special and unique product with a structure as capable of easily holding onto leaves. This film layer obtained on plant can protect the plant against sucking insects and pathogenic pressures and gives the plant a natural brightness (shine).
OPTIMUM K 12 also contributes to the protection of plants against the adverse impacts arising from climatic stress (wind, low temperatures, insufficient sun exposure).
OPTIMUM K 12 can prevent any toxic effects observed in plant cells due to the excessive existence of elements such as, primarily, phosphorus, manganese, aluminum, sodium, iron and cadmium, whether singly or collectively.
It can provide protective effect on plants against overabundant plant nutrient elements.
In case of strawberry plants growing in sandy and sandy clay soil, for example, it was determined that OPTIMUM K 12 limits the amount of cadmium and decreases the intake and toxicity of cadmium classified as heavy metal in the stalk, stem, leaf and fruit of strawberry if sprayed directly onto the soil or leaves.
In case of applications especially through DRIP IRRIGATION by pouring on root surfaces from soil, the plant roots are completely covered by OPTIMUM K 12. It protects against root diseases and prevents spread of disease.
Soil applications of OPTIMUM K 12 by way of drip irrigation reduce the sodium (Na) intake by plant roots. As, being a slow release fertilizer OPTIMUM K 12 saturates the soil with useful sodium, it prevents sodium from eroding cell walls, enabling an uninterrupted process of growth.
